AXWAY - SAP PI - How do we connect?

We are going to use AXWAY which is SAP Certified B2B Partner.

We want to know how SAP PI will communicate to AXWAY for the EDI file interfaces.

Could you please clarify how PI will establish connection to AXWAY ?

What adapters we need to use?

What are the channel parameters?

Please let us know whether they have published Webservice with HTTPs. I have seen that type of scenario before. I can provide you more information for HTTPs communication.

I just realized your posting is a couple of weeks old, so maybe you had already found a solution by yourself.

But the simplest way is to use the SAP PI IDoc Adapter, which can exchange IDoc messages between both systems (ALE technology). In this scenario, the Axway system handles the message mappings and transformations. However, the best solution might be the WebServices integration. By using this solution, you have the flexibility to decide which side you wish to use to run the mappings and transformations because, unlike with ALE connectivity, you are not restricted to IDoc format. But the WebService connectivity scenario depends on the Axway system you wish to integrate, as it might not be supported there. Another option can be the file adapter for exchanging pure files (with all its known limitations).

it looks axway it self providing integration solution to integrate SAP enevieonemnt, deploy AXWAY suite on SAP PI system .

The link which you have given tells features about AXWAY Products. There is no technical information  there.

If you have already worked, could you please provide more details about how to deploy AXWAY components into PI. How the File communications will be happened between AXWAY and PI?

I would recommend you to talk to them and see what communication standards they can support even though the website shows that they have integration tool , FIle transfer etc.

After talk to them decide about communication protocol that is feasible between PI and AXway. I would say they will support file adapter and web service using soap adapter for sure.
