Forecast execution process inquiries

Dear Gurus,

I am wondering about forecast execution process.

Here is the process I am following regarding Forecast and MRP management :

- on a weekly basis : MPBT, MD70, MD67

- on a daily basis: MD74, MDBT + 2 specific transactions designed to manage consumption and forecast modification.

Thus, for a new material (whose having initialisation indicator ticked :MPOP-KZINI), forecast are properly executed and considered in the full process.

But, as soon as forecasts of this material has been calculated, MPOP-KZINI is unticked and forecast are not calculated any more.

Considering that some of the forecast models I am using are :

  • D (constant)
  • G (moving average)
  • S (seasonal model)

I am wondering which event will trigger the next forecast calculation (I didn't plan to set MPOP-KZINI each week as active in every single material master)?

Is their any way to simulate the next forecast run so that I'll be able to check if the system is properly set-up?

The last test I did was : making a consumption on the previous month for a material assigned to a D model => material was not considered during the new forecast execution.

Here are the main forecast parameters defined in the material master :

  • Period indicator : M
  • Hist. periods : 36
  • Initialization pds 36
  • Forecast periods : 18
  • Periods per season : 3

Thanks in advance for you help.
