Idoc structue SAP 5.0 vs. 6.0

I am from EDI team and our SAP is going to change to 6.0 . As an EDI ...we do translation of external messages to/from SAP IDoc.

I am looking for advise ...if there will be an IDoc message structure change with 6.0.

I mean will there be added to existing Idocs like DELFOR02 or SHIPMENT05 a new segments, fields etc ?

Can I download somewhere the IDoc structures of SAP 6.0 ?

Or can you advise where to lookf for more info ?

thanks for advise, tomas

Don't you do this release change in the development system first, followed by the usual SPAU and unit testing before it gets release to production?

so it should not harm your existing production processes and gives you time enough to compare a 5.0 production system with a 6.0 development system.

      Hello Jurgen,

      thanks for reply

yes of course we will have testing in development system first but would be good to know if there is a difference in the idoc structures and if yes to be ready for it.

from our EDI point of view the idoc structure is critical for us and each change could affect business

Just wondered if I could find advise or similar topic on forum.
