    HI,

Generally deletion of indexes does not take long times, only Creation of Indexes will take substantial time if your Cubes are big.

Some thing has to be looked into the BGD's available during the deletion happens. Try to analyze the deletion job on Why it takes hell lot of time..?

    Collapsing is easier than Construction.

    • HI,

One thing is very clear. You need to increase the no. of BGD processes. Ask your BASIS to increase them to 8 or 10 BGDs.

Creation of indexes takes long time even if you have enough BGDs. here the problem is not with the BGDs. It depends on your database. What is ur database? Is it Oracle or MS SQL?

You can analyze in SM50 during deletion job happens.

      Regards,

      Suman

Since this is a question about BW, it belongs in the BW space (called SAP Netweaver Business Warehouse) and not the Data Warehousing space. I've moved the thread, but please use this space for these types of questions in the future.
