SAP Query & BO auth Issue

Hi,

We have created a Report based on abap Query using SP04 IDT

functionality ,0001733297 How to Create A Universe on an SAP ERP

Data Source.

We created a report and it has fields such as Personal area etc.

From authentication we have liked SAP system and got all the roles from

SAP.

We have requirement of giving data access to the report based on his

role fro example A - Will only see a set of data when he runs , B- will

see another set of data

Same ABAP Query fro ECC side we have done the Auth restriction Using

roles. in ECC its working fine. so what we have done is From

authentication we have linked SAP system and got all the roles from SAP.So we created Two users on BO enterprise and we assigned seperate SAP

roles to those users but when we run the report all the data is coming

without any data restriction.

Even we got the users from SAP and created a alias for BO enterprise , still the report didn't work as per the Data Authorization.

Question is How to Inherit the Same data access fro ERP and create a uniformity across two Systems.

Please help

Regards

Aflal

    Aflal:

One option would be to implement folder level security within BO and provide access to the BO folder only based on SAP ECC role access in BO.

On the other hand, the ideal solution would be to setup SSO (Single-Sigon) using SAP ECc authorization into BO Launch pad portal - did you try this? If you do this and authenticate using SAP ECC authentication, then the data security should work as in SAP ECC.

    Hope this helps.
