Logging to BEx and WAD using SAPGUI 640

I upgraded SAPGUI from 620 to 640 on local machine. Now I am unbale to logon to BW 3.0b/3.5 using BEx or WAD. In the trace file, I get:

T:3468==> Name or password is incorrect please re-enter

T:3468<*rfcreceive[1]]: returns 3: RFC_SYS_EXCEPTION

T:3468<*rfcgetcodepagesinfo[]: return 18: rfc_invalid_handle

However I am able to logon to BW 3.0/3.5 using BEx and WAD from Citrix server which runs SAPGUI 620. Any thoughts?

in my case,

i got the same error..

By mistake, i touched [Caps Lock] button. ( haha )

i typed the password again.

it worked. i mean i could log on the BW system.

so i think,

we need to type <b>the password as "Capital Letters".</b>

hi,

1. check patch level for your GUI (most recent is 11th), if you have older version download most recent from service.sap.com/swdc -> SAP Support Packages -> SAP Support Packages -> SAP Frontend Components

2. refer to note 197460 to check if your GUI installation is correct

3. make sure that ip address or host name of BW server is OK
