"

Hi Syed,
The Query Filters pane appears when the datasource is a Universe.
To create a prompt in Crystal Reports, Right-click the Parameter option under "Field Explorer" and click "New".
In the parameter creation window, type in a name, select the datatype, select the prompt type (Static/Dynamic).
Then use this parameter in a formula or drag it on the Report Header to see the prompt.

I have created the prompt but the prompt is not filtering the report data. for example suppose i have report and i create a Location prompt and run the report for location=mumbai, i am getting data for all the locations.
Also i want my report to have run time parameter. i dont want it to be static
Hi
you will create the report level prompts in the field explorer. and then you can goto 'Report' tab and select select 'select expert' --> select record and apply field on the prompt.
else if you would like to create query prompt then you can goto 'ADD command'. In the ADD command window, their is an option 'Create Paremeter'. you can create parameter their and assign that prompt to that field in that where condition.
