Our users cannot "Save Data With Report" because when doing so, multiple error message come up. The message boxes don't appear wth a prior version of Crystal 2008, i.e., SP2. I heard SP3 is what broke it. Any suggestions? This inability to "Save Data With Report" is a real pain to users and feels a step backwards for them.
P.S. Out of desperation since I didn't see any fix, I googled and found this site talking about the issue. Resolution unknown? Our users are baffled as to why a Crystal version with this bug would be delivered ... We lost a good feature.
Hi,
I'd recommend you try a later patch. Basic SP03 is pretty old (early 2011?)... indeed that site link you reference is 'archived' from 2010!
FYI - Only SP04 and SP05 are actively maintained with code-fixes. Also, each already has a couple of FixPacks ontop (FP4.3 and FP5.2 i believe)
I'm now going to move this discussion to the CR forum.

How can I tell whether SP04 or SP05 in fact fixes the issue described above? Does anyone know if this issue is resolved in SP04 or SP05?
The user guide for SP03 also mentions "save data" with report as a feature. So we expected it to work in SP03, or if it didn't work, to be fixed as part of SP03.

Hi SL,
This is a known bug and we are fixing it. The issue is the Stored Procedure parameters sort order.
A temporary work around is to check on the Verify SP on first Refresh. This will sink up the parameter order in the report with the order as defined in the SP.
ADAPT01648035 - Stored Procedure Parameters are passed in the wrong order
It will be fixed in Fix Pack 5.4 and 6.1 as well as in CR For Visual Studio 2010
Also recommend you check that option off once the patch is applied. Verify options should only be used when designing report.
Thank you
Don
HI Don,
I am having the same problem but with Crystal Reports 2011, version 14.0.4.738 RTM. I do not have stored procedures but I do have date range prompts and I pass the date ranges to various subreports. Is there or will there be a patch for this version also?
Thank you for your help,
Carolyn
Don - thanks for your tip. I had my users try it, and they still get the multiple prompts. Though, the data at least does save with the report. Was your expectation that the setting you recommend should have eliminated the extra prompts?
Secondly, how can I find out or be alerted when the fix is posted? We are using Crystal 2008. Is there a fix already issued for that version?
Thanks,
S L
Hi SL and Carolyn,
SP 5 for "Crystal Reports Developer for Visual Studio" ( rebranded for VS 2012 support, works for both VS 2010 and VS 2012 ) has been released. Please test it to see if that resolves the issue for you.

Fix Packs are not available through our public site download page, only Full Service Packs. To get the FP you need a valid Support Contract and go through Service Market Place to get them. We, Support are trying to get them available but lots of legal issues doing so. If not you'll have to wait for Service Pack 7.
Thanks
Don
