What are the settings for the Transfer rules and are you using any conversion exits ?

Hi Clyde

It seems that you have solved your problem. However, should you have problems in the future with ODS activation, please consider the following:-

"Parallel ODS Data Activation - Database Deadlock

With BW release 3.x parallel ODS Data Activation can fail with a deadlock on the database. The cause and solution is described in note 634458 and 84348.

For ODS objects with a high volume of data the solution can be time-consuming. We recommend to follow the instructions of the notes before Going Live to avoid running into this problem."

Hi Clyde.

I think ur validating ur data against the master data. There is a check box against only update data target if master data exists in infopackage. So if this checkbox is ticked then while activating ODS, it checks weather the master data is available or not.So if the master data doestnt exist, it gives the SID error. So just check weather you are facing the same problem. Hope i helped u.. if yes pls reward

Thanks for all the suggestions. It appears that the problem was due to inactive infoobjects.
