How to copy a DSO to a new ZDSO ?

1) If I want to copy a DSO A to a DSO B (ZDSO) then........ just install that dso A and then activate it and copy it to a DSO B (zdso). Right ?

For example, There are 100 fields in DSO A and we need to install and copy as DSO B (zobject)......and we dont need all the 100 fields from DSO A.

what are the best options.... install everything and activate DSO A and copy it as DSO B ( zdso) and remove the unwanted fields form it ..and again activate DSO B (zdso). Is it right ?

OR a) uncheck the unwanted fields from DSO A before installaiton/activation and then install it and copy it as ZDSO B to be safe.

b) After instaling DSO A, do we need to activate it before copying as DSO B ( zdso) or no need to activate, or will it be activated when we install ?

c) After copying as DSO B, can we delete DSO A ? Will it effect the transport.

d ) If we remove the fields from the dso B which we dont require rite.....and it has internal lookup or dependency on the ones which we hve removed ....and how will we know that ? Got it ?....see we have installed DSO A....copied to DSO B (zobject)....and then removed the unwanted fields in DSO B....wat if there is a dependency in start routine r lookup or somewhere on the removed field's from DSO B (zdso). .......the field level routines or start routine if it has , will not give the expected values. Is it right ?
