MSS Workset not visible

Hi All,

We have a strange issue in our portal.

In TLN we have MSS workset, to which many worksets are assigned(lets say 5). Now the problem is, in second level navigation out of 5 WS only 4 is visible some times. i.e one of the WS is not visible often.

I have cleared the portal navigation cache. WS property is not changed.

Why its not stable, what would be the cause of this?

Please help me to find the cause of this issue. Am i missing something here?

    Hi Anand,

Is this on a system with multiple server nodes (e.g. server0, server1, server2...etc...) - if you are not sure ask your BASIS team or look in the system info area.

It might be that there is an inconsistency between nodes, leading the the behaviour you are seeing. I have seen similar issues in the past. By using the browser development tools (IE, Firefox, Chrome) you will be able to see which server node your request is forwarded to by looking at the cookies (I think it is SAP_LB).

You can test this out by targeting a request for a single server node using this pattern for the URL:

    http[s]://<FQDN>[:port]/irj/portal;saplb_*=(J2EE<dispatcher_ID>)<server_ID>

In the past to fix the problem I have reimported the content into the target system and this seems to force a re-sync of the nodes, you could try that.

    Hope this helps,
    Simon
