MRP related problem

Hi All,

seeking solution to a MRP related problem. Following is the issues.

1) Delivery Schedule Quantity generated after MRP run is either in excess or in short in camparission to actual schedule quantity.

2) Safety Stock to be calculated in days.

3) On 28th of a month they want to have a forecast of future production.

Suppose 25312 quantity to be manufactured within the month of November, 2012, so that the available quantity 25312 as on 1st December, 2012, can be

delivered after 10th December.

Now, the problem is after MRP run, the schedule quantity generated by the system is 35000 (aprox). Some times this figure is either higher or lower than the manually calculated required quantity.

Please give us the necessary solution for this issue.

Regards,

nishith...

From the looks of it, looks like you should change the Lot Size defined in the Material Master at MRP 1 view to Lot for Lot, this will generate Orders/Delivery Schedule lines for the required Lot instead of generating an order for a certain Lot size defined in the MRP 1 view.

Additionally, there is no mention of what MRP type is being used or what is the MRP relevant details mentioned in the MRP views in the above thread. Do mention them for further more detailing.
