SAP HOST AGENT sldreg on RHEL6 sapcpp47.so error!

Hi,

I am trying to register my HOSTAGENT within SLD but I get following error:

./sldreg: error while loading shared libraries: sapcpp47.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I am executing above as root user and I have verified that the LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set in user profile and when I execute `which sapcpp47.so` I do get `/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe`. I verified host_profile file and it does have right entries.

Also, I am running the latest version of HOST AGENT 7.20 EXT SP124. I also checked SAP Notes 1382650 & 1021236 and they don't seem to be applicable for me.

Can someone please advise how to proceed? Also, how important is HOST AGENT SLD registration w.r.t Diagnostics Agent SLD registration?

Appreciate your response.. Thanks!

I reckon you want to reg your Diagnostic agent to your SLD? If yes, the easiest way is to uninstall and re-install.

Thanks Nicholas. I was able to register my Diagnostic agent using the smdsetup script and add it into Solution Manager via SOLMAN_SETUP.

Problem is solved by assigning the environment variable:

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/
