Object Link from Portfolio Item to Recipe in PLM Web UI

Hi Folks,

I am trying to get the object link to Recipe in PLM Web UI (0RPMPLMCORERCP) object link working from Portfolio Item.

I have already enabled this using the steps below.

1) In the Portfolio Management system go to SPRO -> SAP Portfolio and Project Management -> Portfolio Management -> Global Customizing -> Global Settings -> Override Default Global Settings

2) Maintain setting with Area = 0002(Master Switches) Name = 0005(Integration with Other Components (see SAP Note 1391444)) with setting value = X and Save.

I have also maintained the Logical System, Destination and HTTP Destination (but not Web Server) under "Define Object Link Types" IMG. I am pretty sure that the RFC and logical system are correct since the same settings work for DMS (0RPMDOCUMENT).

When I try to create the object link from the Portfolio Item I get the message

The search provided no results; choose other search criteria

I can't also get this working for Material in PLM Web UI (0RPMPLMCOREMAT).

I am guessing that there is something additional required for object linking to ERP 6.0 Ehp5 object in PLM Web UI? Appreciate any help on this.

Thanks,

Lashan

Hi Yasar,

I ran into other issues with this object link, however I was able to search for recipes by setting the search help for object link 0PLMCORERCP to the following values.

Search Help: /PLMB/RCP_ELM_DMZ_DB

Active: X

Search Structure: OLR3_TS_PLM_RCP_SHLP

I did not experience the issue. Did you try this from both Portfolio Item and Project? Also are you on the latest SP? I was on 9 when I did this.

Can we object link Recipe in ERP 6.0 ehp6 from cProjects 4.5 and opening up recipe in Obbject navigator?

I read about pre-requisite of activating business function /PLMU/RCP_1 for PPM 5.0 for this. But not sure if this can work in 4.5.

Any thoughts on ho wto go about this?

Hi,

the object links to recipes have only been provided as of PPM 5.0. On the PLM side ERP 6.0 EhP5 is required and the business function /PLMU/RCP_1 needs to be activated on the PLM system.

To get this working PPM 4.5 it'll have to be done as a custom development. However, if you have access to a PPM5.0 system you could potentially copy/refer to the object link definition and associated programs to recreate it in your 4.5 system.
