Exception on a specific cells...!

I have created a query using exceptions. In the column I am having "calendar day" restricted with user entry variable and in my rows I am having a static formula in which I am giving a constant value eg 3, so now if I am creating an exception on this formula it will act on complete row. But I want the exception to be acted only on the first day ie in my variable I am entering 5 days so I have 5 columns but my exception should work only on the first column and on that formula not on all column. I have tried all the ways....like cell ref,Area of app of exception..etc but no use

Can any body suggest for this?
