I currently run assessments via transaction KSU5. But, many times additional journal entries get posted to the liquidated cost centers after assessments are executed. Now, all of the assessments in my company are Periodic, not Cumulative.
Once the period is locked, we work on manual entries to fix the late entries to the cost centers. I'd like to stop making the manual entries and start running KSU5 for the previously locked periods instead.
The following items are not an option in this situation:
Unlocking the period is not an option
Changing the assessments to cumulative is not an option
Re-running the assessments is not an option because we have other processes that run right after it.
Using transaction KISR is not an option
For example,
Cost Center 12345 was liquidated fully in October 5145's books:
Cost Center 12345:
Debits: 500.00
Credits: (500.00)
Balance: 0
But, then a journal entry is posted to the cost center in October's books and the cost center ends up not being fully liquidated:
Cost Center 12345:
Debits: 700.00
Credits: (500.00)
Balance: 200.00
Now, if October's period is now locked, how can i run the assessment via KSU5 in November and liquidate the October late entry on November's books?
When i try it in "Test Run" mode, it works just fine. But when i try to actually run the assessment, i get the error message: KI806 - Transaction Actual Overhead Assessment has been locked.
I just want October's charges to clear in November. I know there's always a way to do it through SAP.
How can i edit my inputs in transaction KSU5 so that I can settle the additional October charges in November's books?
Please help! I'm trying to have faith that SAP will work for this.
