Organization Data Determination problem

hello,

i am using a standalone sap crm server. i am trying odd with the rule type 1 ( from organization model ). i have selected partner number, product, sales group as attributes for determination. Done the assignment.

checked the object in determination in the organization model.

But when i run the transaction and fill the product and partners, it is not filling up the organization tab with relevant data. No matter what i try, its not working.

If you can clarify this with steps involved in the wizard.

thanks

max

    Hi max,

you are trying to create determination rule from org model and assigning product, partner num, sales group as attributes.

In the next screen after selecting the attributes, you need to select what fields are to be determined mandatorily like sales organisation, dist channel, division, sales group.

So have u selected sales group in that screen??

If done correctly, the problem might be like in transaction , u are passing partner and product and have u checked whether the partner is assigned the sales group or not.

Check if these can help u out to some extent atleast.

      Hello hcl,

Yes I have selected the sales group in that screen.

sales group is assigned to all the partners involved. ( Using tx: bp -- sales area -- organization tab -- sales group )

I have created the determination rule and assigend it to the transaction type. Anything more to be done ? Do I need to assign the org. data profile to the item cateogry as well?

      regards,

      max

    Hi Max,

You need to set up the sales area in CRM org model in order to make the organizational data determinaton work. A sales area is the conbination of sales organization, distribution channel and division. Please maintain attributes distirbution channel and division for your sales org, then re-test the system behavior.

If this does not solve the issue, please let us know the org determination rule that you are using and the FM in the rule to do the determination.

    Best regards,

    Maggie

    Hi Max,

Have you maintained data for the attributes which you used in determination rule in the org. model?

If you wont maintain that data, the org can't be determined during the procedure..

    Once check it please.

    Hi Max,

    Two additional hints:

    • Is the flag 'Object Permitted in Determination' set in PPOMA_CRM (or webUI) in the organizational unit you want to determine and for the scenario you want the determination to work (typically this is SALE)
    • Did you run the HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE report (SE38 or SA38)?

Both steps are needed for the objects from the org. model to be visible during the determination.

    Good luck!

    Regards,

    Joost
