WCEM High Availability hosting

If we want WCEM to work 24/7 on an hosting site for high availability purposes and we are using WCEM with Coremedia working on MDM and CRM, what are the component that we need to host AT MINIMUM to allow web site to work without dumps in the eventualluty of a breakdown?

Does the WCEM has a “high-availability” configuration built in or if it can function temporary without CRM or MDM, even if it is in a limit functionality?

    As long as the configured processes are tighly couped, you will need HA. In this case, i would consider WCEM, CRM and MDM to be tighly connected.

    - Without WCEM, nothing works;

    - Without MDM, no catalogue information for processing shopping;

    - Without CRM, no backend processing (user logon, stock availability check, checkout, etc) are not possible.

    • Hi Sean,

      From own experience - when the MDM server is down, you will have application exception error when the WCEM is launched.

      Catalogue information is rendered from the MDM respository completely. Hence when the MDM is down, it would be impossible to do anything (i.e. shopping).

      Best regards.
