value in Result and Original value column

When we go to record result from QA32 transaction, we click on "Result" button and system take to enter sample where we enter either new sample date & time and clikc on execute button.

Now when we do above steps sometime system auto populate Result and Original value column with some value. I'm not sure how system is populating these value and from where? Can you help me to understand this issue?

This is not happening in all case, but some time. So I'm not able to see exact scenario in test system.

This inspection lot is sample managed, but if I go to QAMR or QASR table then I can't find any value in these two tables. So not sure where exactly system store this 83.4 value or from where it is auto populating & why?

Hello Eric.

Original result entry you can see in the QASE table. In MIC ABC quantitaive data - no of decimal place is defined as 1 & for MIC ABC result is entered as 116.45 so in origanl result field system update as 116.45 & in Result coloum value updated as 116.5 as per one decimal defined in MIC master & system round up 116.45 = 116.5

Hi Eric,

      There is a scenario to copy the inspection results from other inspection lot,,may be you have done those settings for particular material while creating inspection plan.

Please check below settings:

1. IMG-->QM-->Quality inspection-->Make settings for Copy of inspection Results.

    Check the inspection type and plant has been assigned.

2.Check in inspection plan (QP01) -->Operation-->Inspection characteristics-->Master inspection characteristics--> button of Genaral Characteristic data-->Original results data.

Based on these settings system auto populate the results.

1. We don't have suggested IMG setting for said inspection type in our system.

2. I'm not able to find out "original result data" at QP01. Can you give some more idea?

Now for above point I found value as "batch valuation", but I'm not sure how it affect to me, because for same batch I don't have any more inspection lot and still getting from where system is capturing result value.

System take's the privious batch values as original results data.

Please check the privious batch results those must be same which you have seeing in current RR lot.

Check once again.
