Performance of HANA Models

Hi ,

I have done some complex modelling in SAP HANA. The sales table involved has around 6 billion invoices & all tables involved constitutes 20 million in totality.

i just want to know what wil be the time that SAP Business Objects Webi report takes to execute or what should be the ideal time taken for a report to execute. In my case thier are no complex calculation in Webi, they are pretty much straight forward. It tooks around 35 - 40 sec. If someone has worked on such scenarios , just let me know the time taken in your cases.

Ideally SAP says it should not take more than 3- 4 sec but i am doubtful on that.

Waiting for your replies!!!!!!!!

Thnkss

    Hi Kulwinder

I have worked on the scenarios where the Fact table includes nearly 3 Billion records and took almost 10seconds.

It depends more on the type of data stored in the Data Base.

Once try the same with some Best practices of designing universe on top of ASP HANA and check the result.

    Hope it helps.

    Thank you.

    Regards

Times vary a lot with the model you've done.

Rule of thumb, if you stick to the best practices (joins preferably in Analytic Views, ideally 1 Fact table per AN, Calc Views for aggregation/union preferably, avoid Joins in Calc Views, avoid several tables in Attribute Views etc.), you would get as close to the best result as possible. And even so, the "best result" could still be some dozens of seconds. It all depends you how your data model looks like.
