Hi everybody,

I have used CONVERT_OTF to convert the smartform output into PDF.I am getting the PDF output. In the same way I am trying to download into Excel sheet. But When I am using the format as ASCII, I am not getting the output in Excel properly. Is there any other function module/method, I need to use?.

Pl help.

Hi Elini,

I don't think there's another format for Excel spearately. ASCII is the one that's generally used .

1. When you say that you're not getting the output in Excel properly, what exctly do you mean ?

2. Is your smartform formatted properly ?

If there's no further response to this thread which can help you solve this directly, I think you should manually change the data from ASCII format so that it appears properly in Excel.

Anand Mandalika.

Hi Elini,

I am not sure whether this will help you. There is an option in smartforms to download the output to xml. May be you can use some tools to convert xml to excel.

Thanks

Hi,

In order to convert the smartform output to Excel manually,you can perform the following steps.

1.View the print preview of the layout.

2.Use the menu Goto->List Display

3.Then use System->List->Save->Local file

4.Finally select the option Spreadsheet to download to Excel.
