Vendor Disabled While Creating a DC

Hi

While creating a new DC under an SC, the vendor field is disabled and the Name prefix has a dropdown to choose various options.

I have read lot of threads for the same issue in SDN and everytime the issue is resolved by adding a new namespace prefix in SLD->Name Reservation.

But I dont want to add a new vendor. I just want the vendor field to be enabled.

One of the SCs in our landscape work perfectly with the vendor field enabled. Though the value by default comes as sap.com which is editable whereas for the other SC the vendor field comes is disabled. But both the SCs lie in different tracks.

I checked the configurations of both the SCs and the tracks, they are put in. Both look same.

I tried creating a new track with the working SC but when I try creating a new dc in the new track again the problem occurs.

Please help

Regards

Sonal

Its because the namespace was enabled in the SLD hence the prefix field became disabled.

If the namespace is not enabled, the prefic fields remains enabled.
