Why stock transport orders-UB type (from branches) are added in plan order qty after MRP Run

45 Views

Dear PP Gurus,

We have one main manufacturing plant 8210 at Vadodara which uses planning strategy 10 (LSF). This plant is manufacturing bearings & stores them in a warehouse of 8210.

From warehouse, the bearings are being transferred to various branches like Kolkata, Chennai, Pune & Gurgaon where we have our own depots. From depots, these bearings are being sold to customers in India.

Now based on the customer requirement, branches raise a stock transport order on main manufacturing plant 8210. After running MRP, these stock transport order qty Is being added in plan order of that bearing in plant : 8210. So, my total plan orders are increasing. I do not understand why stock transport orders are added to plan orders after running MRP.

  1. For example : Main mfg. Plant : 8210 => MD62 => Bearing B1 : Qty (LSF) = 1000

After MRP run, system creates a plan order of 1000 in plant 8210 for B1 bearing.

  1. Now, Branch Office Plant : 9210 (Pune) raises a stock transport order (UB type) of bearings B1 : Qty 500 on plant : 8201 (Mfg. Plant) at vadodara.

After MRP run, system creates a plan order of 1500 in plant 8210 which is wrong.

It should not add to total plan order of plant : 8210. It should show 500 qty as a stock transport order in MD04.

Could you please throw some light in order to resolve this problem ?
