when we run queries in BEx Excel Analyzer.....the date shown is the oldest of the InfoProviders......it should be the newest

For queries that return data against a MultiProvider which is being
fed by multiple individual InfoProviders , there are several
Date/Time text objects that describe when the data was
refreshed.

These are:-

  • 'Status of Data To' which describes the latest refresh
date/time of all individual InfoProviders feeding the MultiProvider.
  • 'Status of Data From' and 'Status of Data' which describe the
earliest refresh date/time of all individual InfoProviders feeding the
    MultiProvider.

BEx Excel Analyzer and BEx
Broadcaster templates are currently employing either the 'Status of Data' or
'Status of Data From' text objects.

In these cases,
where we employ InfoProviders that are infrequently updated (e.g. History
Cubes), the status of data shown is not going to be at all relevant to the
users, as they really want to see when the active data was last refreshed
(hopefully on that day), where in reality they are seeing the date & time
when the oldest InfoProvider was refreshed. This may be several years in the
past for some applications.
