Version Management in Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order

Hi Xperts,

There is a functionality named Version Management in SAP-Purchasing.Could you please share the Business Requirement to use this particular functionality.

As per the SPRO ,this functionality can be used for Internal Documents such as Purchase Requisition and as well as for External Documents such as Purchase Order.But this functionality is used only for print relevant changes where we do not print the Purchase Requisitions at all but print the Purchase Orders only.

The question regarding the above is, why should we use Version Management for PRs and what is the exact business requirement to use this particular functionality for Purchase Orders as well.
