Hello I am looking to switch my SAP PI connection to ECC to another ECC system, has anybody done this in the past? what kind of issues do you have when you have to disconnect the present ECC connection and then make another connection to ECC?

Hi Dayanand,

Check this note #1299373 Configuration Wizard: PI System Copy.

Thanks and Regards,

shouldn't be big surprises provided you create/retain the existing connections in the new systems..

In short depends on the scenarios used in your project..

Classify the scenarios and prepare a checklist for each one..

for .eg. like below..

1. IDoc (Sender & recevier)

2. RFC ( Sender & Receiver)

3. Proxy ( Sender & receiver) - Particularly if you are using the AAE for proxy as sender ensure the subparameters are maintained in the New ECC System..

Configs to be done in PI & in ECC..

Good luck

Dayanad,

The SAP PI Integration server can talk to one ECC. My understanding is the ECC A & ECC B are completely different system ( Not copy ), In this case you need to create the  RFC destination ( Partner profile, port  etc) pointing to the new system If you have developed proxies objects  then you need to re create it...
