Asset super number and group asset

809 Views

Hi all,

my client capitalizes costs to create assets belonging to different buildings. Here it is an example:

  • building 1 --> asset 1 + asset 2
  • building 2 --> asset 3 + aaset 4.
  • ...

"real assets" are asset 1, asset 2, ... but, in order to have an easier asset management, he wants to have an "aggregated" asset at building level.

For this, I could use asset super number or group asset. Could anyone suggest me the best solution?

In particular:

  • my client wants to see values (both acquisition and depreciation) over the aggregated asset (building);
  • all the "detailed" assets have same depreciation terms (excluding capitalization date which could be different).

Thank you for helping!
