BW and MDM

Hi,

We are trying to provide consolidated reporting in BW by extractin data from multiple R/3 systems. This means multiple overlapping masters requiring a precise master data integration strategy. Now having identified the impact, using SAP MDM seems to be the best option for carrying out the integration. Are there any other simpler ways/tools to achieve this?
