Exporting report from Portal logon prompt

We have Kerberos SSO configured at domain level. A couple of our users are running reports in Portal and all of them are having this problem. One of our users is running a finance report from Portal and is exporting to excel. When they do that they get prompted for username and password. They press escape and proceed. At somepoint again they get the same prompt for which they press escape again. Then they get an error "Access to this web server is disabled by default because it is controlled by basic authentication and does not use SSL. Do you want to search the Microsoft online support center to view possible solutions". This is again a yes/no prompt where they click "no" a couple of times before the report actually gets downloaded.

My understanding here is SSO is a bit wobbly when there is a protocal change(http to rfc). The user logged on to portal via SSO however when the web report was started, it makes a http call to backend BW which then converted to RFC protocal via SICF. Its here they get prompted for username and password. However when they click escape, system lets them continue and prompts a few more times only to let them continue eventually fulfilling the request for exporting excel.

Now is there anyway to supress these prompts at all. I know the logon prompt is for SAP backend. I am not sure what the other prompt is though (Access to this web server is disabled by default because it is controlled by basic authentication and does not use SSL. Do you want to search the Microsoft online support center to view possible solutions). Any thoughts here please.

Regards
