Hi,
Can we insert data into SAP standard tables using a script?
What will be the impact of this on the schema and the system?
Also please suggest if updation can be done in the data tables using script?
Please help.
Thanks,
Shikha
Hi Shikha,
Insert or update of data directly to the DB using script is not supported and should not be attempted. It could put the system in a bad state. You should only use “setter” methods available in the IAPIs. What exactly are you trying to do? Could you elaborate your requirement so we can try to make some recommendations?
Regards,
Vikram

We are trying to see if anything can be done to initialize Spend Management Environment.
Our requirement is to insert some data into the table "FCI_SA_ACTION_INIT_SPEND_ENV", which is available but does not show any data on execution.
My question is, can we upload data into these tables? If yes then please guide me on how this can be achieved.
Thanks,
Shikha
Hi Vikram,
I have initialized a system property "analysis.spend.is_enabled" to TRUE and the spend and compliance feature is available, but when converting master data to dimensional data im facing an error "Insufficient Privilages. contact system admininstrator".
I have looked for help in sdn and market place but could not find any. Please guide me in how to proceed further for setting up spend & Compliance feature in Sourcing 7.0.03.
Thanks & Regards,
Shikha
