Lot Sizing Issue in Planning strategy 52

Hi All,

I wanted to use planning strategy 52 at my FG level but as per SAP documentation system do not consider the lot sizing (min & max lot size) while doing the MRP run. Is there any way by which we can force the system to consider the lot sizing data and create the planned order accordingly.

In strategy 52 you can procure comp based on PIR and production of finished products is based on sales orders.

Settings:

In MRP 3 View strategy group 52 for fert.

individual / collective indicator 2 for components.

Make-to-order strategies should always be combined with lot-size key EX (lot-for-lot.Rounding values , minimum , maximum lot sizes, etc. should not be used. If you use they have no effect due to the make-to-order properties of these strategies.

You can have for MTO Strategy 50, at the max you can have Rounding Values.

If your requirement can be fulfilled with Rounding then you need to maintain the below settings.

Transaction : OMI4

MTO Lot Size: "1" Lot-for-Lot with rounding.

Thanks for your reply....

I know in planning strategy 52 on EX lot size key should be used and there will not be any effects of min & max lot size data if used.

But Is there any option to force system to consider min & max lot size data during mrp run via user exit or badi etc.

Please check BADI - MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA, this may be helpful in achieving your requirement.

MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA BAdI to consider or to exclude special MRP elements other than the ones that are defined in the standard system depending on a certain selection rule IM_SFILT import parameter. Here you need to apply your own logic. For more details solution use the BAdI documentation.

Hi Kamal,

Main prerequisite for Strategy 52 is

1.Activate item category as NORM

2.Use strategy 52 for header material

3.In MRP-4 view use collective/Individual as 2

because min & max.lot sizing is not possible in MTO,if u want to achieve this than you can use BADI as suggested by Mr.Rupesh.
