/N/SAPAPO/TSCOPY: Copy data between Key Figures incorrectly

Former Member

Dear SAP Experts,

I need to copy Data of Key figure KF1 from DP to a Key Figure KF2 in SNP.

I use Tcode /N/SAPAPO/TSCOPY.

However, this function run incorrectly: KF1 in DP is 1000, however, after copying, Data of KF2 in SNP is 960.

In Planning  Area in DP and SNP, I configure accurary of these KFs is M - Maximum (also tested with 3 -Three decimal places)

What is wrong here? How can I fix this problem?

Thanks very much!

First thing: what are your bucket definition in both sides (and storage bucket profiles)? If you have months in DP and weeks in SNP you may also have problems. Is it month to month?

Second: are you sure that you have 1000 stored in liveCache? (you may have an automatic macro running that changes the value you see with respect to what it is stored). If you enter in the PB without any macro running, do you still get 1000?

regards,

J.

Hi anybody, who may still be reading this relatively old thread

I think I understand what is happening. It happened to me, too.

When you copy the current week figure, on the first day of the month, and if it is not Monday, and if your storage bucket profile contains both months, and weeks, then TSCOPY fails to do correctly. This seems to be a bug. It cannot overwrite the last technical period of the previous month. This is very confusing if you are looking at a weekly planning book. (that is planning buckets profile only weeks)

When you explicitly TSCOPY the last technical period of the previous month, by days selection, at a separate run, this time it manages to overwrite it. Once I did this, I could not replicate the issue. I will have to wait for a month now, to hopefully replicate and find a permanent solution, maybe copying in 2 steps.

It seems there is no OSS note to correct this. Would SAP pick it up from here?

Thanks / Ozgur

Hi again,

I tried in the first technical period of this month again. I cannot replicate it. Now forgetting about this unless it comes back somewhere.

Thanks / Ozgur

I assume your aggregation level for TSCOPY is material+location, so you are not losing any CVCs, right?

Dear James S.A, Anurag Tiwari,

Thanks very much for your reply!

@ James S.A:

- In DP planning Area, I use my own created Storage Bucket Profile with: Day, Week, Month, Quarter, Year.

In SNP, because I create new Planning Area by copying from 9ASNP Planning Area so I use standard Storage Bucket Profile “9ASNP” with Day, Week only.

==> I changed so that 2 Planning Area to the same Storage Bucket Profile. But it still not correct

Moreover, Time Bucket Profile in DP is 3 Months, Time Bucket Profile in SNP is 1 Quarter.

- I don’t have any automatic macro running that changes the value I see with respect to what it is stored.

- My Aggregation Level is Material + Location. I don’t lose any CVCs.

@ Anurag Tiwari:

Both the the planning areas have  same UOM.

Please further analyze for me.

Thanks very much!

Ok. Something else comes to mind: are you reporting that the numbers don´t match for one product, or that for a selection, when you check in SNP you don´t see that the aggregated result matches the one in DP? Because if ie. one of the products is not in SNP, or is not active, or whatever, you may see a difference for the missing quantity. In that case, check logs to find the missing product.

Dear James S.A,

In my case, each product in SNP does not match the respective one in DP --> so, the total does not match. The different is not the same with different products.

I test with two product only, and they are active in both DP and SNP.

Please see my screens:

In DP, Bucket by month:

IN SNP, bucket by Quarter:

Thanks very much!

Hi,

some more things to check:

is the second quarter (Jan-March 2013) also wrong, or only the first one?

is the SNP key figure (is it a standard one)?

can you exclude calendar issues in SNP (ie. assign a calendar based on W8 to your locations)?

Hello,

This can be a Unit of Measure Issue.

Could you please check if both the the planning areas have  same UOM.

Regards,

Anurag
