Hi,
We are using IS-Retail and SAP MM. We have been using SAP and MRP for 5 years now.
We want to chnage the grouping on the exception reports we are using and take out some customised ones.
I know we can do it in
SPRO - Materials Management - Consumption Based Planning - Evaluation - Exception Messages - Define and Group Messages
But will there be an impacts to the MRP run or what impacts happen in MD07. I dont want to break anything there
Hi,
If are creating new messages then uou obviously may be in need to implement it..right!!!
So, when u make changes, system will act as per your new groupings and will respond as per that...
You shd clear all req. process first and then implement when u req. it..

Moderator message: Lets stop this discussion at this point as it becomes more and more basic.
the SCN is not a forum for ordering free technical consulting. It is a collaborative community where people voluntarily help you to understand things better in the SAP world. As you obviously need some more understanding of this, I recommend to read the useful Blog "Asking Good Questions in the SCN Discussion Spaces will help you get Good Answers" next and first learn the principles of this before asking.
Formulations like "answer asap" and "please send step by step description" are easily interpreted as orders to people who offer help for nothing more but the satisfaction to being helpful.
Thank you for taking more time to understand community help.
Regards,
Are there any other things to keep in mind. We can close the open preqs before this moves to prod.
What are the testing steps?
Run MRP before and after the exception changes are made?
The exceptions messages appear in MD03 and MD07 only right?
