Update of Support Package Admin SPAM/SAINT

I am trying to update the Support Package Manager from the current version 7.30/0039 to  7.31/0047.

I have downloaded the SAPKD73147 (SPAM/SAINT Update version 7.31/0047) package and imported it. It is available as a part of support packages not imported yet.

When I go to the transaction SPAM and click on Support Package--> Import SPAM/SAINT Update, instead of importing the new package in the available package list, I get a message saying the SPAM/SAINT package for SAPKD73039 has already been imported successfully. This is the previous version and I am unable to get it to load the new version available in the All Packages List.

I have tried to reload the package, but it does not help.

Any pointers to get around this issue would be of great help.

Hi Sudip,

You should import latest 7.30 SPAM update, not 7.31 release.

To be clear, it is not allow to import a 7.31 patch into 7.30. This is because, 7.31 means that 7.30 ehp 1, but 7.30 is Netweaver installation without an ehp package.

Hi Sudip,

when your system is on 730, you can upgrade spam/saint to 7.30/0047 only.

731/047 means you are trying to apply ehp which is not possible without upgrading whole system to 731.

you should get SPAM/SAINT 7.30/0047, not 7.31/0047, as Orkun said.

You would have to upgrade your 730 system to 731 first, if you want SPAM/SAINT 7.31/0047.
