Unable to rename New Field in SAP MDM Import Manager

We are experiencing the following problem.

We are using an Excel file to import data using MDM Import Manager.

In the Source Hierarchy, we wish to create a new field, for then to rename it.

This is not possible.

I am able to create the new field. I right click it, choose Rename, and are allowed to write a new name.

However, when I press Enter, the name switches back to default New Field.. No error message.

I have Admin rights for the repository.

The same happens for all repositories in all system environments, and for all documents I have tried, Excel and XML files..

This has worked previously.

Only change that has happenened is that the system has been migrated from Windows 2003 to 2008.

Has anyone got any idea what might be causing this behaviour?

    Hi Thomas B√łen

Could you check free space on your hard drive- where has installed your DBMS - it's enought or not?

In IM you can't rename field in source hierarchy at all.

But you can create new one and call it.

Before you will do it, please, remove all your matching fileds from "Match records" Tab

Alternate solution is that add the required field in excel file only. then you can map that field with destination hierarchy.

You will not need to add and rename field in source hierarchy.
