Hi experts,
We are implementing ESS MSS for EHP5 " ECC 6.0
Portal is 7.02
R3 is ECC 6 (Basis is at level 700)
We did all the configuration as per the documents provided by SAP and initially every thing was working fine.
Then we customized the Launch Pad to remove some of the linkes form the Overview screen. The new launch pad is successfully showing up only the intended icons but inside those services none of the links are working. When I click on those links in portal nothing is happenning at all. While customizing the launchpad we ensured that we created a custom launch pad object and modified the custom one only. In that case the standard launch pad should work fine but now the standard one also is not launching any application at all.
I checked the portal HTTP Access log files and I can see that portal is initiating a http request and the acess code is 200 (which is for success).
Can any one let me know what could have gone wrong.
thanks in advance,
PK
Hi All,
It was not a probloem with the configuration ... My laptop is strangely causing the problem. When i access ess from some other system the links are working fine. It apparently is something to do with my laptop. Dont know what the cause is, but I stopped using that laptop now.
Creepy but thats life in SAP

figured out the solution. It was due to missin authorisation ... yet to figure out the required set of authorisations though
