component consumption at different level

Dear all,

We have defined component's consumption at different levels (operations) in the routing. Backflushing is also defined for the components.

Eg. component A is consumed automatically in operation 10

component B is consumed automatically in operation 20

If there are scraps at operation 10, is there any possibility in which the quantity of component B be reduced with the scraped quantity?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

This is a standard SAP function. Suppose if you confirm yeild quantity as 90 and scrap quantity as 10 in operation 10, system do backflush component A according to BOM.

When you do confirmation for operation 20, system propose automatically yeild as 90  by checking the previous operation. If you enter more than 90, system show information message about previous operation confirmation quantity. So in operation 20, componenet B backflush quantity will be reduced according to yeild quantity.

Do config setting in tcode OPK0,  select your confirmation profile. Select 1- Immediate proposal in Quantity field in default tab screen.

Dear,

Lets consider, Order is of 100 quantity and 1:1 ratio for components

component A is consumed automatically in operation 10 quantity 100

component B is consumed automatically in operation 20 quantity 100

While confirmation of operation 0010 through CO11N if 90 is yield and 10 is scarp.

after that if you confirm the operation 0020 then system will allow you to confirm the 90 quantity for second operation and component B consumption will also be 90 quantity.

Please test the same and come back with further query.

Hi Suresh,

It appears that Both A and B are the two independent Components and are assigned to two different operations.

So if we know how much scrap the components A and B will have before we put them into the operation then in that case we use Component Scrap. That is, if 100 is required for A and 5% is the component scrap then GI has to be done for a quantity of 105. And same is the case for B, So what I am trying to say is,  we already know how much will be the scrap and accordingly we do the GI. And you do not have to depend on the Scrap produced by operation 10.

Now if B is required with a quantity of 50, this means that you still need 50(if you have 0 % scrap).  And because you have accordingly updated the A's quantity to 105[5 for scrap]. So 100 of A will actually be productive and will accordingly be the yield of the Operation will be stabilized. And this will also balance the Operation 20 to keep up with the required yield !!

Even if you maintain Operation Scrap, you know how much scrap to expect and accordingly you adjust the quantity which is assigned to the Operation !

Regards,

Avinash.

I am looking for the actual consumption (not the theoretical).
