Is high Availability possible in SAPB1?Any one who test SQL logshipping?

High availability solutions in SQL Server such as MS SQL Server Cluster Service, MS SQL Server Log Shipping Service, indexing/indices, Database Replication : Are they supported with SAP Business One?

The high availability solutions in MS SQL Server that are supported by SAP are mentioned in the Administrator's Guide.

SQL Clustering,Log Shipping, are currently supported in SAP Business One Version 8.82.

SQL Clustering is supported with the following operating Systems

                Windows Server 2008R2  with Failover Cluster Service on SQL Server 2008 R2

                Windows Server 2008R2

SQL Log Shipping is supported with the following versions:

               SQL Server 2005

               SQL Server 2008 /R2

SQL Replication is currently not supported in SAP Business One for the following reasons:

There are 3 types of replication for transactional data:

-          “Transactional replication”, encrypted stored procedure cannot be replicated, as Business One works with  encrypted stored procedures it will fail to work with the replicated company DB.

-          “Transactional publication with updatable subscriptions”, will add an unique identifier column ‘MSrepl_tran_version’, which will fail a SAP Business One upgrade.

-          “Merge publication”, same as above
