SAP Client copy with different patches

Dear Friends,

                      we had recent applied support pack on dev server. PRD and DEV patches are totally difference.Now our users strongly recommended client copy from PRD to DEV .Is it possible without applying sp to PRD. we can not apply Support pack to PRD now,

Hi,

This is not correct way to do system copy when you have different support stack.

Please make system on same  sp level and then perform system copy.

Hi Sahil,

Normally there is no technical restriction for doing a client copy between systems with different SP levels.

But, as the others said, it is not suggested and not supported by SAP if you encounter a problem

Hi Sahil kumar,

I won't make a client copy before patching the system and let DEV and PRD at the same SP level .

If I where you I will make understand to users that this can make that all the developed programs don't work .

Is far know that there are diffent profiles when you make a client copy but let us know what is the stack level for both environments.
