"add-on %s - uninstall failed" Message

Hi Experts,

I am having sap business one 8.8 pl 21 on windows server 2003.

And i installed the client on multiple systems (on which multiple user accounts has created apart from Administrator like Mark, John, Stephen apart from Administrator)

When i am logging in as administrator, my sap and add-on is working fine...Not issue when i am logging in as administrator on client pc.

But when i am logging in as UserName like Mark or John i am getting following error..

"add-on %s - uninstall failed"

I tried to fix it by uninstalling the client on client pc's and installed fresh client. and uninstall the add - on and installed again. But still i am getting the same message. and my add on is not connecting.

Can anybody tell me how to fix this...

Thanks

    Hi Ramu Kilaru....

i think someone erased the addon in sap installation folder.

Check for the addon in installation folder, SAP->SAP Business one->Addons.

If you are not finding your addon in the that folder, then open AddOnInstall.SBO with Noteped.

In that, you will find some coding for your addon,

You will find the coding as shown below

    example:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16"?><Install><AddOn AddOnID="1" ExeName="BK_ScreenPainter.exe" InstallDir="C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\AddOns\BK\Screen Painter" Name="Screen Painter" NameSpace="BK" SelfUpgrd="false" Server="B1" Status="0" uid="BK_Screen Painter"/><AddOn AddOnID="15" ExeName="HR.exe" InstallDir="C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\AddOns\MAVE\ATIHR1.1" Name="ATIHR1.1" NameSpace="MAVE" SelfUpgrd="false" Server="B1" Status="0" uid="MAVE_ATIHR1.1"/></Install>

Delete the whole syntax of that particular addon and save it.

    Then you reinstall it...

Check with the link how to remove add on

    Hi Ramu........

    Follow this......

    1. Login with Administrator.

    2. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One and open AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo file on Notepad.

Clear all the contents and save it. Before clearing take the File Back and store it anywhere in PC.

Once you do this start SAP and install addon and then connect.........

    Regards,

    Rahul

    Hi,

This looks like the windows rights.

Try to turn off 'User Account Control' completely in Client PC, restart the PC.

Make sure the user has Read/Write access right on the SAP\SAP Business One folder.

    Regards
    Edy
