Length of KF in ODS

Hi,

I have an ODS which contain Key Figues of Data Type DEC. When I see the length of the Data element of this KF , it is showing as 17. But it is showing length as 9 in my ODS.

My problem is, I am getting an error in data laod ("DBIF_RSQL_SWL_ERROR") . My datasource contains DEC fields of length 15 and the corresponding KF in my ODS are showing a length of 9 even though their data element length is 17.

Is this causing the problem. Please suggest.

Correct me if I am wrong.

If u see the properties of the Infoobject in RSA1, it is showing as length 17, but in your ODS overview it is showing as length 9? If this is the case, then something is very wrong... It should not happen. Could u check them again?

The error message doesn't look it is related to that. Looks like, it is related to some database errors... Did u search OSS for any notes on this error?

Gova,

My KF YXXX is of type NUMBER and datatype DEC. In the additional properties of the KF, the domain of the data element /BIC/OIYXXX is of type: RSKYFNUM, which is type DEC and length 17.

In object overview of ODS in which it is included, I see the the KF as data type DEC and length 9. I am not sure if this is causing the load to fail, as any KF defined as DEC is showing a length of 9 in the ODS, even though the domain its pointing to is of different length.

Earlier I had trouble activating the ODS with my userid

(i assumed its a security thing), i used other developers id to activate it, but my load is failing. The oss notes suggested that either the datasource field length is not appropriate with infoobject length or ODS tables were not created properly.
