Hi everyone,
We have upgrade our system to BW 7.3 SP04 and the latest java patch. Warning messages are no longer being raised in BEx web (java stack) after we upgraded to BW 7.3. The issue exist for standard out of the box and customer exit messaging, We only receive master data related messages in BEx web (java), the other messages types arn't raised. We don't receive a message if we run a BEx report and leave the mandatory fields empty for example.
The message are being raised when running RSRT since the ABAP stack is being used. I verified and the user exit is being processed for custom raised messages and the function "handle_message" is called when debugging the report in RSRT. I performed the following steps, but am still unable to recover the issue:
- I ran multiple BEx web reports using the java stack and confirmed that the (non master data) message arn't being raised
- I used the standard template to run the reports and checked that the messages aren't suppressed by the template
- I ran the same reports in BEx for Excel, RSRT and RSRT2 web version and the messages are raised (ABAP stack)
- I ran transaction RSRT > SUPPR_ALL and have verified that the message types in question arn't suppressed and the settings are the same in the pre-upgrade systems
- I ran transaction RSRT, filled the technical id of the queries, checked the message option and verified that the message types aren't suppressed
- We upgrade to the latest java patch level and the issue still exists
I have search SDN and service market place but have not been able to find a post or note mentioning a similar issue with BW 7.3. Any idea what could be the cause of the issue and how it can be resolved?
Please help me.
Kind regards,
Connor Dijst.
