Classification link to DMS via FM : BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHANGE2

Hello ,

I am using FM: BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHANGE2 to add classification data to document but if document is in such status where status type is

S: Locked status then I can't add this classification data but same time I am not getting any such information / message from BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHANGE2.

Any idea how to get this information ?

Hi Varun,

regading this behavior I would kindly ask you to see the SAP note  1639417 which should correct this behavior when using the BAPI. In case the document is a status of type 'S' then there should be an error message raised if someone tries to update classification data.
