GRC10 Access Request performance

When I attempt to create an access request thru NWBC, the web page takes a very long time to load, and once it loads, entering data on the form takes minutes per item, not seconds like it usually does. It also appears to be only this page that has the issue, I can run a user/role SOD check without any performance problems. Has anyone seen this? And how does it get fixed?
We are on SP09, GRC10.0 AC only.
