No destination storage bin to be found in storage type 001 issue(I had searched it in the forum)

Hi there:

I encountered below issue while I am running RLAUTA10 to create Auto TO

No destination storage bin to be found in storage type 001

and I had searched it in the forum and checked below settings

1) Storage type 001 level check the indicator "storage section check active whther it is checked or not  (yes it is active)

2) Check whether you have created storage section for the wh/001 storage type (yes it had been created)

3) Check whether You have created storage section indicator for the ware house( Yes it had been created as "SSS")

4) Check whether you have activated storage type search as well as storage section search (yes it had been activated)

5) Check whether you have assigned storage section indicator to Material (yes SSS had been set to the material)

6) Check whether you have created the bins for wh/001/storage section(yes it had been created)

and it is weird if I populate destination bin 001 SML test001(the storage bin i created) and then enter, it works, but I wanted it to do automatically instead of manually, help.

Hi,

Automatic Bin populate happens only if you have defined Putaway strategy at Storage type, also you have to maintain storage type & storage section search strategy.

Hi Allen,

In the reference table that connects the IM movement type to WM movement type find the corresponding WM mvm typ. In the configuration of this movement type check the setting for the Automatic TO and TO confirmation.

SPRO - LE - WM - Activities - Transfers - Define movement type

Also, ensure that you have maintained Storage type, Storage section and Storage bin type search activated.

Hi there the problem had been solve the root cause is that I had not created enough destination bins with specified storage type... but I had another question, why the system can't move to only one destination bin?

Hi Allen,

It depends on the putaway strategy and the storage type definition.

If in the configuration of storage type you activate addition to existing stock & mixed storage, and do not have capacity check activated then you can add any no. of stock to the single bin. But, however this is practically not possible, so it is recommended to manage your stock in accordance with the warehouse structure.

You can go for open storage.

"Open storage" refers to a type of warehouse organization whereby you define only one storage bin for each storage section.  The quants in this storage bin are stored in the form of mixed storage.
