Broadcaster issue in WAD

Former Member

Hi,

We have a WAD template wherein we have 3 tabs and 3 reports embedded into them.

Now the issue is that in the "Send" button in Portal, which is the standard button to broadcast the report, I have option to provide only 1 query:

the consequence of this is that whatever query I provide here, is sent from all the three tabs instead of 3 different queries. I tried to add 2 more broadcaster command but it's taking the last command and sending the query attached to the last command.

So how do I make appropriate setting so that fro 3 different tabs, 3 different queries are broadcasted?

Hi,

I am moving this thread to Business explorer as the content seems to relevant on that topic.

Hi,

The issue is resolved.

I changed the query option to Report (REF_ITEM) and gave ANALYSIS as the web item.

This made the user choose the report from the infoarea and broadcast.

Hi,

may be what u can do is you can develop a ABAP program and in the portal u can provide the check box..where by when user want to execute particular query he can just select the check box against the query and do save or execute by which the underline query setting only will get executed..

or u can give user three different settings as mentioned above..

Thanks and regards

Hi Debanshu,

If you want to broadcast three queries separately, why dont you set broadcaster settings via query designer.

yes we can do it but the requirement here is that report users would like to do it at their discretion.
