Activated Business Content

Hi there,

We have defined the RFC Connections between SAP R/3 and SAP BW. Hence, I do manage to activate the business contents.

However, I activated Cost Centers:Costs and Allocations(0CO_OM_CCA_1) Info Source in Business Content :InfoSources by Application Component).

Now, I understand that I should be seeing some Data Source under the application component automatically in my BW Modelling : InfoSource : Cost Centers:Costs and Allocations

But, I do not seem to see any data source replicated automatically into my BW system(even after I have hit "replicate system" in the Source System)

Does it mean that whenever I have activated an InfoSource, the DataSource from Business Content should automatically be hanging under the application component ?

I think you have seen the Infosource under apllication component . It is not Data source.First of all, You have to Transfer the Datasource to active form ( using RSA5) in source system .Then in BW, Do replication of Datasources. And then assign the data source to Infosource.

Have you actvated the Datasource in (RSA5) source system.

If you already activated the DS in source system , and you have done replication of DS into BW,Then in the activation of Infosource ( if you select data flow before as grouping) you can see the Transfer structure(i.e assignment of DS).

I hit RSA5, but I do NOT see the SAP R/3 Application Component Hierarchy ?

How can I enable the SAP R/3 Application Component Hierarchy in RSA5 ?(Installation of DataSource from Business Content)

FYI, below is the current Hierarchy I see in RSA5

0BW_DATASOURCES

->PI_BASIS

->BW_TECH

->BW

->NODESNOTCONNECTED

Hi Anil,

Managed to see the SAP R/3 Hierarchy in RSA5.

My specific concern is that I need to activate the SEM(Strategic Enterprise Management) component in Business Content : InfoProviders by InfoAreas

However, I do not see this in RSA5(SAP R/3 source)

Kindly advice, how can I activate this SEM datasources ?

SEM cubes do not have datasources per se since most of them are sample applications using manual planning layout and functions...
