TECO status for Partially delivered production orders

1593 Views

Hi Experts

We have month end reconciliation activity in the production plant . Here the FITeam they apply TECO to all the partially delivered production orders . This is done as we know that Month end processing of the production orders involve below steps.

  • Posting overheads to production orders at standard cost.
  • Calculation of actual cost of activities.
  • Revaluation of production orders.
  • Variance calculation. (Variance calculation is possible only if orders are with status DLV or TECO)
  • Settlement of production orders

Production Orders which are partially delivered (status PDLV) should be changed to TECO as the same would enable variance calculation; else
system would not allow for variance calculation and posting to CO-PA. If variancesare not posted to CO-PA, it will not be possible to get the data for actualprofitability analysis reports.

However the users from the production department maintain thatthey face problem due to failed FG postings during this period when the
Partially delivered ordered are provided with TECO status .

Requesting you to please provide your valuable expertise . Thanks in advance .
