BW BPS web page enhancement (BSP Application) question - freezing columns

Hello. We are working with the BW Business Planning web interface. The web interface builder in this BW 3.5 system generates a BSP application which can be displayed in a browser.

The issue that we are having is that the BSP application generates pure html, and does not have a freeze part of the page feature. The amount of data being displayed in the BSP page is enormous, and we need to find a way to freeze the lead columns.

Does anyone know if BSP applications can be enhanced to make this happen? Ie can java code be customized so that the page can be configured to freeze a portion of the page?

Thanks,

Frank

    Frank,

I had this coversation with Marc before and it is something the development team is working on but the only way to freeze column is Excel in Place currently.

    Hope this helps,

    Mary

    • Frank,

freeze frame functionality just does not exit for HTML. If anyone has seen an HTML webpage that has this implemented, please let me know.

Freeze frame is an Excel feature. That's why you can do it in Excel (Gui and Web). Also the next BI release will support full Excel integration and you can of course freeze frames then.
