I am very new to Crystal Reports and am using a trial version of Crystal Reports 2011. I have selected an ODBC connection to my iSeries v 7.1 -- looks as though everything is correct but does not show the tables(files).

I have attached a document with a print screen of the Data Explorer window .. help plz.

Hi,

Try connecting thru " Create New Connection" and if still dont see the table then check your access level on the tables though.

Thanks,

Jothi ..

Thanks for the info, but it did not work. I created the new connection as you mentioned, with the same results. I am an administrator ont the iSeries -- create, delete, modify files. Here is the new print screen ....

Hi,

Can you check File>> Options>>Database>> select System tables, views, tables., Stored Procedures... and make sure that "Table Name Like and "Owner name Like are empty.

Click OK and re launch Crystal reports.

If not logon with a different Id  or other user who got Database full rights..

Thanks,

Jothi

Jothi ..

The System tables was not selected! As soon as I checked it and relaunched Crystal Reports - I could see the iSeries and the files listed.

Thanks Much!!
